The last Combat Missions episode was good. I was glad to see Fletcher win; he seemed like a good guy. He and others made references to his Christian faith, and after he won the final competition the camera showed him on his knees in prayer. That's refreshing.
I was a little surprised that it came down to two SWAT cops. I figured it would be military guys all the way. But a friend of mine and I were talking and we realized that the cops go on dozens (if not hundreds) of missions per year; the military might only have one or two missions in several years. So the cops are arguably a lot more experienced, although I expect the military has better training.
It was also a bit disconcerting to see the guys cutting up, or to see them really struggling through missions and messing up badly, and thinking "this is the best of the best, this is who's standing guard over America". I guess I watched too much Rambo.
