I found a great column on iFeminists.com discussing rape. It really gets into the differences between men and women. Here's a couple of excerpts that made me smile:
The men I spoke to also agreed that it was their duty to watch out for women and they continued to do this despite all our petty ramblings that we were perfectly capable of taking care of ourselves. Men have this unspoken conspiracy to allow us women to think we're capable of taking care of ourselves, but they are ever watchful on our behalf.
Men have a code of ethics and a code of conduct. There are things a man does not do, lest be dealt with by other men. Women have no part to play in any of this except to butt out.
