IHT: Israel strike undermined a cease-fire

This would be significant except for a few minor details.

First, there had been no "relative calm" that many claim. There was a double suicide bombing on July 17 that killed 3 Jews and injured 40.

Second, this was only one of the many militant groups that was about to announce a cease fire. Others, such as Hamas, were not even close to considering a cease fire.

Third, the so-called cease fire was nothing of the sort. A "cease fire" would mean you, well, ceased firing. The announcement was only an end to "all attacks on...noncombatants". The article linked to above says "It is highly unlikely that any unilateral cease-fire would have applied to Israeli soldiers and settlers in the West Bank and Gaza Strip". That's not much of a cease fire.

So in reality, this is nothing more than a bunch of Palestinian propoganda trumpeted by leftists.
