Great Essay on American Politics

I found an article on The Jacksonian Tradition at USS Clueless.

It's a wonderful article that explains the popular political notions of much of middle class America.

One thing to note when you read it, is that it was written late 99 / early 2000.

I agree. It puts into words what I didn't even realize about myself. I generally fit the Jacksonian mold, with some important differences. I was very suprised to read such a good description of what I generally believe, when I'd never thought explicitly about some of the values that are simply an inherent part of my worldview. I'd never seen them spelled out like that before.
