I read this article, "What do we really want?" by George Monbiot. It made me think.

Then I read Lileks's screed in response. It made me laugh out loud and realize just how ridiculous Monbiot is. (In a more extreme case, Monbiot would have a good point, but that's so far removed from the real world that he's just being silly.)
