Out of a committee of 5, two were Democrats. This committee recommended the machines which those dastardly Republicans (and the Democrat) on the Commissioner's Court accepted. This is remiscient of the folks who implied that the Republicans were responsible for the so-called "butterfly ballot", when it was actually designed by a Democrat.
