I was thinking the other day about the inefficiencies of directory sites that ask you to choose one category for your site. I know of almost no sites that fit only one, or two, or three, categories. So I was envisioning some sort of percentage setup, so you would specify roughly what percent of your site was devoted to each particular category.
Then I thought, what would my percentages be? And I realized my priorities were all out of whack. Politics and warblogging would be at the top, probably followed by personal junk. God would come in way at the bottom, maybe 10% or so.
Whoah. I call Him Lord and Master, but I blog about Him maybe 10% of the time? I pray "thy kingdom come" but I spend my time talking about the kingdoms of this world? How does that work exactly? He saved my soul from Hell, and gets an occasional passing reference on my site (usually couched in a post about church)?
Not only was my content not reflective of my faith, my tone was also often unbecoming. Observant readers will notice that I've changed my blog's subtitle. It's there as a reminder to me.
So I'm making a course correction. More Jesus, less politics. More grace, less baiting. He must increase and I must decrease. I will still make social and political commentary, but I intend to do so speaking the truth in love, with grace, and from a Biblical basis, instead of using mockery and human wisdom. I also intend to be far more careful what I link to. What fellowship does light have with darkness, after all? I want this site to reflect my life. My life should glorify God and bless others, so this site should too.
Thanks for your patience.

I backslide on this front on occasion, but must of been doing something right to get a permalink from you-I found your site by some traffic you sent my way.
