Al Gore is not running for president in 2004, but Sen. Joe Lieberman, his 2000 presidential running mate, is likely to make a go for it on his own.
...
"As I have said to many of you when you asked me how likely was it that I would run if Al Gore did not run, I said I probably would run if Al Gore doesn't run, and that remains the case."
I wonder how international affairs would change if we had an orthodox Jew for president. Wouldn't that be interesting?
I really hate to say it, but I personally could care less if he's jewish, but he'll never win. With all the anti-semites on the left, how on earth could they justify putting a Jew in office?
Posted by: amy on December 17, 2002 08:26 AMThis is so reminicent of the whole worry about JFK being a Roman Catholic that it's laughable. Leiberman's religious leanings haven't been an overriding concern in the past. The only worry I'd have from this front is how the Arab leaders would deal with him: they will surely be wary of a Jew in the White House. I'd still vote for him over the fool on the hill we've got right now.

That was what I meant. Lieberman's ethnicity and religion are not an issue to me, but they surely would be with some foreign nations.
I always find it amusing when people refer to Bush as a moron or fool or stupid, etc. Considering that the man has succeeded in every venture he's ever set out on.
