Some folks just don't understand tax cuts. (Link via Amy).

Here's money that WILL NOT be taxed:
-Money made from inheriting huge fortunes.
Or small family businesses. Don't even THINK of trying to get ahead and leave an inheritance for your descendants.

-Money made from selling stocks. (Taxed at a much lower rate.) (This benefits primarily the top few % of wealthy.) Over 50% of all taxpayers own stocks and bonds.

-Money made from receiving dividends. (This benefits primarily the top few % of wealthy.) Because companies should be taxed when they make money, and when they distribute it to their shareholders (aka owners). Otherwise those awful rich folks might SPEND the money, and you know what that means.

-Money made from selling a company. (Taxed at a much lower rate.) (Needless to day - this benefits primarily the top few % of wealthy.) Are the companies owned by the "top few % of wealthy" primarily sole proprietorships and partnerships? Or are sole proprietorships and partnerships the domain of working folk who get ahead, whereas the "top few % of wealthy" generally concern themselves with corporations. Who does this really help?

-Money made from stock options received for being an executive at the company that laid you off. (This benefits the top few % of wealthy.) Just being an executive at a company is such a bad thing that you should be put in prison for daring to do so well.

-Money made by corporations that move intellectual property offshore, then license it back to their U.S. branch. Because we know it's bad when greedy corporations make profits.

-Money made by corporations who have moved their mailing address offshore. Ditto the above.

-Money and services received by executives as "expenses." Since executives never incur legitimate business expenses.

-Income after the first $85,000 is not taxed for Social Security. Because folks who make over $85,000 will need Social Security and be compensated proportionately for their salary over $85,000.
